The church is the houshold of God and being part of the church involves sharing our lives with our brothers and sisters.
Hope Church is a friendly congregation with a relaxed, family atmosphere. Most of us belong to Coatbridge but we also have one or two folk from overseas. Visitors are made very welcome and there is opportunity after the morning service to chat with others over a cup of tea or coffee.
Sunday services are at 11.00am and 6.30pm, and our online prayer meetings are at 7.30pm on Thursdays.
Our Sunday morning services usually last for around one hour and there is a children's talk given every morning. We use the New International Version of the Bible and the main part of the service is taken up with explaining and applying the passage that has been read from the Bible. We sing both psalms and hymns.
We regularly have a congregational lunch after the morning service which helps people get to know one another better.
From time to time, we run a Christianity Explored and Life Explored courses which are designed to help those new to the church or to Christianity learn about the Christian faith and have their questions answered in an open, friendly atmosphere over a meal.
A number of activities run on a regular basis. For an overview, see the entries under Activities in the menu.
We are always glad to welcome new people, do get in touch if you would like to join any of our events!
